Stop and take a rest ~

Butterfly so free,
thank you for visiting me,
and bringing me Joy.

Butterflies of many different species have been visiting our area, especially these little delicate white ones. Every time I see a butterfly cross my path I somehow feel it's a little kiss from the Lord. I feel they are very special as they have received their glorious new bodies, after struggling to break free from their cocoons.  Are you struggling to break free?  I know I am.

Lately the Lord has been telling me to rest....to not struggle so hard...to find Peace in His presence. This is what I have been doing and it's been a lesson for me to learn to live this way. For almost all of my life I did not have Peace in my life. This new way of being feels so strange, but so good.

My husband and I spent a good long time on our picnic this past weekend, enjoying the warm sunshine and watching folks have a good time at the swim hole. This is when the butterfly came by right in front of me and stayed long enough for me to capture a photo. It was a little kiss from the Lord, telling me it's good to rest.

I hope you have a wonderful day and try to remember to rest a little here and there.
Thanks for stopping by...more Musings another day.

Beautiful - the picture and the words. I've never pondered that they really become practically "nothing" within the chrysalis before they emerge in beauty... "beauty from ashes"... new life, redeemed beauty, resulting peace... But resting in the gift of peace is hard for me, I confess. Thanks for sharing!

I have a lot of Budlia in my garden so I see quite a few butterflies, particulary Swallowtails which are my favorites. They are so beautiful ~ enchanting.
